Irish Celtic Music Festival & Lucky Dog Parade 11:00-4:30pm
FREE ADMISSION & PARKING!
Céad Míle Fáilte to friend and to rover! That's a greeting that's Irish. It means you are welcome!
We have a full line up of musical and dance entertainment to include an Irish-Celtic band, mandolin players, karaoke, dancers, and pipers. Don’t forget your little leprechaun’s to enjoy the Community Activities planned “Pot of Gold” scavenger hunt, face painting, spud-head contest, pony rides and so much more! This event will keep them searching until their pot is full of gold. No children? How about a dog? Yes, pets welcome, so “pimp the pooch” and enter them in the Lucky Dog Parade benefitting the Humane Society of Manatee County! We will have gift baskets for small, medium and large breed, in three categories, most Irish, cutest and owner-dog look alike. Gentleman start fiddling those feet, we want to see you on stage dancing in your kilt. Do I have to mention “wear green, freckles, and red hair?” We will have a contest for everyone…so mark your calendars and come out for a day of green, Irish food, green beer, and Irish coffee. Ladies will love browsing the novelty items, crafts and jewelry for purchase. Whether the Irish blood flows genetically or you’re just an Irish wanna be, we are all a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. We want to see plenty of “Irish Eyes a Smiling” and swaying to the music. Come on by to enjoy the culture, music, beer and food of our Irish-Celtic friends. Rub elbows with some of these folks who have probably kissed the Blarney Stone, you never know some of that luck may just rub off! So mark your calendars and be sure to come out and enjoy the Irish-Celtic fun.
Details and parade registration forms can be found on the Community Activities website, http://www.lwrcac.com/events/irish-celtic-festival or call 757-1530.
